Participating in an ArtStation Challenge was a goal for 2023 for me and it timed up perfectly with my University projects finishing. I've enjoyed the process from start to finish and it allowed me to really build my skills in stylization and Unreal Engine. I focused on making trim sheets and reusable assets that could be changed using parameters in Unreal, the bunting flags and the moss growing along the roof are both blueprint actors that allowed for more versatility with fewer assets. Going forward I really want to explore these features in Unreal more! I also wanted to try experimenting with different lighting setups and this was a fun process that let me develop a better understanding of colour and composition.
Overall this project was super interesting and a great point of growth for me :)
Thanks to all the people who reached out to give feedback and encourage me, I really appreciate all the kind words and help along the way.
